A Message from the President
Linda S. Janes, Chief Operating Officer, Alvis, Inc.
Welcome to the Ohio Justice Alliance for Community Corrections (OJACC) Website!
I am honored to serve as the president of this association and to carry forward the association’s mission, “To bring together stakeholders to promote and support effective community corrections that enhance public safety.”
OJACC is a unique organization that includes representation from all segments of the criminal justice system including: judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, law enforcement, probation, prisons, CBCFs, residential reentry programs, social service providers, and others.
My personal experience as a corrections professional includes working at a variety of positions ranging from a parole officer to assistant director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and assistant director of the Ohio Department of Youth Services. My experience in state
government is bookended by working as a licensed clinician in treatment programs and holding administrative and executive positions in nonprofit
agencies that provide community reentry services.
Throughout my career, I have been grateful to OJACC precisely because it brings people together from across the criminal justice field. Through the work of the Board of Trustees and various OJACC committees, meetings, conferences, trainings, and more, we demonstrate our shared
commitment to improve the criminal justice system and to enhance public safety in the state of Ohio.
I hope you find this site helpful for understanding the work of OJACC and that you can easily access information relevant to the field of community corrections.
If you’re not already an OJACC, member, I encourage you to join now! https://www.ojacc.org/membership-join/
Your thoughts regarding the ways OJACC can best bring diverse voices and perspectives together and develop solutions for a safer Ohio are most welcome and I look forward to working with you!
